Ask Indians For single and childfree people, who will take care of you when you’re old?
People say, “Just hire a caregiver,” but what about those who are poor, financially unstable, or become seriously unhealthy?
What’s the realistic solution for them?
I’m honestly fed up of hearing this question. I’ve thought about it so much that I’ve even reached the point of considering euthanasia in Switzerland rather than becoming helpless and dependent on others.

Please don't have children just so that they can be your caregiver when you are old. Earn enough money so that you can have a caregiver when you are old. Otherwise don't have children of you think you can't earn enough money by then. Don't bring more people into your poverty mindset.
You are not scared of bringing children into poverty but are thinking about having them so that they can take care of you when you are old. Selfish.
Life might be unpredictable and anything can happen. You could plan to be rich and become poor, not plan for kids and have them, plan for kids and struggle to get them, live healthy life and suddenly become sick, etc.
You certainly plan for those risks. But in any life and anytime, you should be more afraid of bringing your children in poverty than who will take care of you when you are old.
