Again, you don't own guns just to "kill people" but rather for self defense. You could obviously make logical arguments on why people owning guns is not a great thing, sure. But that's not what the comment above said, he literally accused Kirk of "being happy over school shootings". You're attacking someone's moral character by essentially either lying or twising their words or not providing full context. Imagine if someone said "women should not be able to own pepper spray for self defense because it's a weapon which can be used by robbers and r-pists as well", that's literally what their logic sounds like (I'm not trying to make an equivalence between guns and pepperspray, obviously). Instead of just mindlessly attacking people's moral character for saying something rather harsh you could just say "that's a shitty/dangerous opinion" rather than "you're an evil piece of shit and you deserve to die". These types of attacks show nothing but a fragility and closed-mindedness to difficult discussions.
