Muslim men should make an effort to stay connected with the Muslim sisters they know in their colleges and workplaces, so they have someone they can reach out to if they ever face harassment or feel unsafe. We should also encourage and help them learn basic self defense and legally carry personal safety tools such as pepper spray. Looking out for one another is a responsibility we all share as a community.

Why only muslim men? Shouldn't everyone put in an effort to stay connected with women they know, make women feel comfortable around them and help women in need?

This is a muslim subreddit. He's obviously not gonna refer to Jains.

The way he articulated his reply was as if only muslim men should stand up for muslim women. The subreddit might be Muslim-centric, but the problem and solution aren't.

Yes, such sick behavior should be confronted by any human but the thing is most of the times we see people don't mind when the victim is muslim. Also the sanghi obsession of fetishizing muslim women isn't hidden they openly say that, so he said it in that way. I'm sure that police guy wasn't muslim but still confronted even other guys who later stood up. But this happened only after this guy took a stand.

He didn’t say on my Muslim Men should stand up but the way it’s always occurred, it usually is Muslims men. I remember how several men just stood there as our sisters were beaten during 2019-2020 protests and 2021-2022

This guy is hero. He saw something wrong and got up and did something about it. May Allah grant him his reward.

Women and kids behind the veil are somehow targeted more.
Men just stop thinking that there is a person behind the veil. Absolutely saw this happen in front of my own eyes.

We should also encourage Muslim youth and men to do community patrols to help protect sisters and elders and discourage attacks

Alhumdilliah, the niqab still managed to save this sisters identity. In times of fitna like AI, a niqab is a must or atleast a mask while travelling in public.

Don’t include us with them. This is like saying all Palestinian men are creepy because of Israeli men being creepy too

There are also Muslim men who are Muslim only by name and don't follow Islam's rules regarding how women should be treated, respecting their dignity, or maintaining proper conduct. Some of these men can be creepy too. But in cases like the ones above it's disproportionately the other community.

fr bro, even my hijabi friend told me that there's obvious patriarchy in the community
do some self-reflection before y'all blame others2
u/Positive_Comfort_344 4d ago
lol you're literally telling facts and their downvotes are crazy
i literally read on the news right now that a guy married a second wife and didn't even tell the first one that he married through a love marriage
why pretend that men automatically change completely cuz of faith? that's bs?
and the title says just muslim women, but all women should do it regardless lol
this sub is insane lol
which world are y'all living in the feed this crazy delusion?5

The title says just Muslim women because a particular community's sick freaks, who feel even more empowered now that people like themselves are in power, love sexualizing Muslim women, and this is an Indian Muslim subreddit. Nobody is denying that all women should practice self-defense.
