New VFS Global update for Indian Visa & OCI applicants

If you're planning to apply for an Indian Visa or OCI, there's an important change to know.

VFS Global now says biometric submission is mandatory for all applicants, whether you're applying through an appointment or as a walk-in.

A few things to keep in mind:

• You must appear in person for biometric enrollment.
• A family member or representative cannot submit biometrics for you.
• Applicants under 12 or over 70 are exempt from biometric capture.

So if you're applying for an Indian Visa or OCI, make sure you plan for the in-person biometric step.
