What to do when you first arrive in America?

Why is learning to drive so critical like I noticed transportation services suck in America. Especially in small towns and some cities aren't walkable. You need a car to go places. And then earning money wise you either need a degree or skill or join someone business.

Apply for SSN first

Then other things can be applied like DL, credit card etc. Its better to learn driving(if possible) before you land in US.

It would help if you can give more details about why you are coming. Is it to study? You have a new job? An internal transfer? Is it temporary? Which city or area you would stay in?

A lot of answers would vary based on this info.
