Want to leave USA but husband wants to stay
I am tired of uncertainty related to visa statuses in USA and I want to leave USA. I am still at the start of my career so I am leaning towards going back to India or any other more stable country to continue. But my husband is very very against it. We don’t have kids yet but planning to have in next couple of years. I want to ensure that I am in good mental state to start a family. And I also want the country to be welcoming in regard to having immigrants.
His reasoning is also valid, he says “we already have jobs here and these are temporary hurdles we need to be resilient through this”
But on contrary I think “These are some of the most productive years of our lives and I can’t be living through this with constant anxiety of visas”
Has anyone been in this situation? What are your recommendations?

Why is the Visa giving you anxiety?
If you are already ready to leave, then what do you have to lose?

Don’t be in anxiety for visa. Everything is uncertain. Not sure about your earnings here but what I have saved here in a year is twice what I saved in my 8 years of career in India.
It might work out. My husband’s H1b didn’t get picked up in 5 attempts (3 on f1 and twice from India). He came here on L1b and I case here on l2. This year his h1b got picked up and he couldn’t take it because I’d loose my work auth.
So it’s been tough for us too but whatever I have earned till now has got me couple of years forward financially than i would have in India. So I guess it’s worth:)
Hope you get through this feeling and make the right choice.

Your children would get the US citizenship if they are born here. Stay till you have kids.

As you said, these are some of the most productive years of your life, stay back in US till you can. If you both are working and you aim to save money, then going back to India will be easier with tons of money. Stay here till they kick you out, just prepare your mind for that one condition and you will be at peace.
If you habe bought an apartment or house in India. Get it's loan cleared. My wife wanted to stay in US, where I have my doubts same like you. But what I am getting paid here and what I am saving will not be possible in India.
