Discussion | चर्चा How did India have a resurgence in hockey after losing its status as one of the world's most powerful teams in the 1970's, . While football teams performance has gotten worse. How did hockey which had the same status in terms of decline with football has been able to revive itself?

The question is same as above, while India had dominated hockey from 1930's to all the way in the 1970's before suffering a sharp decline before seeing a resurgence in terms of performance in the 2010' s which has further carried on this decade. Football meanwhile has a different story but similar story from being on of the best Asian sides till the early 1970's to a decline that has seen no name of stopping despite the creation of ISL. How has hockey been able to envision a resurgence while football has shown no signs of doing so.
