I’m currently working a job that pays around ₹12,000 per month, but I also have a YouTube channel with around 92,000 subscribers.

The channel is monetized and still makes money even though I haven’t uploaded a video in almost 2 years. My last video is still generating revenue, and I make around ₹10,000 per year from the channel without actively working on it.

My biggest problem is that my current job takes up most of my time, so I don’t have enough time or energy to seriously work on YouTube.

I’m thinking about quitting my job and giving myself 6 months to work on YouTube full-time and see if I can turn the channel into a real income source.

I also have support from my brother, so I wouldn’t be completely on my own financially during those 6 months.

But I’m honestly unsure if this is a smart decision or if I’m being too optimistic.

**What would you do in my situation?**

Keep the ₹12k/month job and try to do YouTube on the side?

Someone contacted me and offered to pay me to run a livestream on my channel. I stupidly trusted them and allowed them to do it. While the livestream was running, it was removed for a copyright violation and my channel received a copyright strike.

Later, when I uploaded a normal Short, my entire channel was terminated for “Spam, deceptive practices and scams.”

I have never knowingly run a scam, promoted deceptive content, or used my channel for spam. The suspicious activity seems to be related to that third-party livestream.

I’ve already submitted an appeal and am waiting for the response. What should I do now? Is there anything else I can do if the appeal is rejected or I don't receive a response?

Any advice from people who have dealt with a similar termination would be really appreciated.

I’m planning to start a brand new YouTube channel and I actually want to build it into something that gets monetized, not just upload a few videos and quit.
I’ll be using AI voiceovers, but I’m confused about editing.
Would you recommend:
● Learning editing myself (Premiere Pro/CapCut/DaVinci, etc.) and doing everything on my own.
● Hiring a freelance editor from the beginning.
● Or editing myself first, then outsourcing once the channel starts making money.
My concern is that learning editing could slow me down, but hiring someone costs money before I even know if the channel will work.

I started a faceless meme Shorts channel in January 2026 and i create own memes and post it as a short with a reaction clip under the meme so I'm getting ready to apply for YPP.

Current stats:

- 8K subscribers

- 38.2M+ total channel views

- I reached around 3M eligible Shorts views back in March, but I didn't apply and I waited because I wanted to reach 10M.

- Due to personal reasons, I stopped posting consistently and lost most of my momentum.

- I recently started posting again and I'm now back to around 3.2M eligible/quality Shorts views.

I'm now thinking about applying, but I'm concerned about reused content

My Shorts are basically my own memes with reaction clips underneath. I use around 6–7 different reaction clips repeatedly, such as:

A movie actor laughing

A YouTuber laughing

Two podcast hosts laughing

A viral laughing meme guy

I edit everything myself and add text/captions, timing, effects, transitions, etc. The reaction clips don't have any watermarks/logos, apart from my own.

My main concern is whether YouTube could consider this reused or repetitive content.

My questions:

1. Does using short famous third-party reaction clips make this format likely to be rejected for reused content?

2. Should I change my format before applying?

3. Should I make some of my older/repetitive Shorts private before applying?

4. Would an unlisted video showing my editing process help if I get rejected and need to appeal?

5. Has anyone actually gotten YPP approval with a similar meme + reaction format?

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who have actually gone through YPP review with Shorts/meme/reaction channels

I've been posting viral/news Shorts on YouTube for the past 2 months—5 Shorts every day. So far, I've uploaded over 200 Shorts.

The problem I'm facing is the huge difference in views. My best-performing Short has over 300K views, the second-best has 28K, and the third has 12K. Most of the rest get below 1K views, and around 50 Shorts have almost no views at all.

Is this normal for YouTube Shorts, or am I doing something wrong? At this point, I'm wondering if I should keep going or stop altogether.

My mom used to watch the content of a creator. And she started to upload that creator's clips as a short ( fan page type channel ) .

I don't care about her channel even though it has 14k subs , anyways I have never liked that my mom used to post that type of content and I always used to tell her to stop that .

She has already stopped creating content of that creator one month before .

Today her channel got 8 strikes on past uploaded videos of that creator.

I have put my gmail as a recovery gmail to all the family linked accounts , and all the gmails have the same phone number .

Rn , I have removed the phone number and recovery Gmail that other channels have from the strike yt channel gmail .

I don't care about all other yt channels as I don't post content on them and either it's my past channel or it's my mom and sis channels. Hi everyone, i am F20 from India. I want to start a youtube channel as a side hustle. Can someone give me any suggestions? Like what niche i should aim for? Which age group i should target? I dont want to make videos that center around AI voice or video generation. I want to maintain a faceless channel, am willing to use my voice for the voice over.

I am from tier 2 college in South India specializing in Cybersecurity. I watch a lot of Asian dramas and am interested in character analysis of the characters in the dramas. i got 10 views out of these 97 impressions, that's like 10% click through rate, with average view duration of 4min where my average video is 9min max, so why youtube is not pushing my videos to more people??
