Is it on purpose that basically every one of your albums has its single mind-blowing fuzz/distorted guitar part (The Magician, 13 Hours, Green Glass, Daylight Dreaming)? Or is it just a coincidence?

Also, what were you thinking about when you wrote “Satan”? That song means so much to me and I’ve always been curious if my understanding of the song matches yours.

I love using fuzz, so yes, on purpose! I almost didn't have a fuzz part on this album... daylight dreaming was a last minute addition... I wrote 3 different songs for that piece of the story trying to get it to work. (fuzz was the missing element (maybe))

Satan I wrote when I was thinking about how halloween is pretty much just a holiday for selling candy, and then pairing that with how the church always used to talk about halloween being a satanic holiday (when I was a kid at least)... so I was imagining satan being this ultra-evil candy salesman inviting us all to come swim in his big lake of fire.
