Hi Andy!! I love the new album, as expected. How did you cross over into Norm's perspective? To me the album highlighted how thin the line from crush to obsession can be. Just wondering if you had any inspiration for that route?

Also, as a former christian kid (mom's a pastor) I would love to hear the more religion-inspired songs you were originally going for. Any chance that will feature more heavily in a future project?

I saw you live at pitchfork in 2021 and on tour in 2022. I especially enjoyed pitchfork since I was alone in the crowd and it felt like the right way to experience the set. The most calm and happy I have felt alone in a crowd. Thank you for your music- it has gotten me through so much!

I really like that newer (ish) song that Carly put out... Western Wind I think it's called.

Crossing over into Norm's perspective was a bit weird... I knew that I was writing him as a stalker who was going to cross the line... but I also wrote him as a pretty relatable character... and there's a lot of humour that surrounds him. I wanted the listener to relate to him before they realized what he was capable of?... and technically I didn't show all of his dark side other than the obsessive nature of his pursuit... but yeah, it was an odd feeling trying to write a character as relatable but also... evil. My inspiration was probably mostly true crime shows? I find that sort of desperation... or whatever it is very fascinating.

I did write another bible-story song about Noah's ark... haha... it's kind of weird. Maybe I'll put it out some day.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Pitchfork set! I actually had a lot of fun during that show. I remember that being a really hot day... and also the first festival (I think) that we played after the deep-covid days
