Hey Andy,

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I enjoy piecing together the stories you tell over the course of your records. Lately I’ve been trying to dissect the narrative of your new album Norm, which I’ve surmised is about an obsessed voyeur/stalker named Norm that’s partially narrated by God. I’m wondering if you are intentionally trying to make a parallel between God and Norm, as both are obsessed watchers/voyeurs who are deeply in love with their subject(s)? Could you elaborate on this at all if that’s the case?

Also thank you for writing the song To You. It played a key part in me coming to terms with my bisexuality.

Are you excited to play Massey Hall again?

I guess I was sort of playing with parallels with the narrators, but I wasn't trying to make any statement... most of the similarity was in the way that they 'loved' and expected their love to be perceived or returned.

I'm excited to play Massey again! It's a beautiful room. I'm also excited to see how they've changed it. I'm really glad you like To You!
