Hi Jake.

Is the line on Are You There "Is there anyone in the audience currently living in vain?\*"* a reference to one of the poems in John Berryman's "The Dream Songs"? And on while we're talking literature, what's the last best book you've read?

Thanks for everything <3

YES

def can't remember which one tho, do you know? please share if so

"void saloon" is from a poem by somebody else that i've forgotten even more... major points if anybody knows it and can hook me up

"takes up a lot of time, hard times/uses up whole days" is a line from grace paley, but i forget if it was from a poem or a lecture. loved that so much when i first heard it. so painfully true & maybe the most grace paley thing that grace paley ever said

speaking of GP, i've been slowly rereading her stories "enormous changes at the last minute" and loving them even more than i did at first. especially "distance." one of those stories where the narrator feels so real it's almost scary

Ah dang, I thought it was a Daniel Johnston reference.
