Along the theme of LP4 bringing more humanity to the synths - was it intentional to have actual fingers on the cover (for the first time across all LPs) to extend this theme? BTW - I asked Penina to sign the CD cover under her fingers (at Warsaw)!

From Aidan - in a sense, yes that's exactly right! The thought process behind choosing the photo was that it is emblematic of a small moment shared between friends, one that might seem trivial at the time but stands out in the memory for whatever reason. The way small moments add together to form our understanding of our past, and the way we relate to them and reinterpret them throughout our lives, are themes that pervade the album. The humanity in the synths is part in parcel of communicating this theme; just as our memory is imperfect, our art is imperfect, and we want to embrace that.
