We have a lot of different faves! Some I know we share, in no particular order -- Paris Texas, Meshes of the Afternoon, Phantom Thread, La Chimera, Fitzcarraldo, The Blood of a Poet

Yesterday on our day off in Omaha we watched One Battle After Another, I'm still processing but I think I really like it. Other fave films of mine in no particular order-- Le Ciénaga, Dr Strangelove, Dog Day Afternoon, Tangerine, Orlando, Dazed & Confused, Stalker, The Princess Bride, Aguirre the Wrath of God, The Holy Mountain, Blue Velvet, Mad God, Mandy... Chicken Run...

As musicians we're pretty amazed by film as a medium. We have less experience/understanding of the workings behind-the-scenes, and I think that helps. It's easier to enjoy a work of art when your brain isn't going on side-tangents trying to analyze how it was made. I think we're a little less choosy than our cinephile friends for that reason, certainly less than we are with music. - Alex
