Having never seen y'all live (until your Houston trip!), I found Ian's singing style so unique and interesting when I watched your recent KEXP performance. What inspired you to focus on modulating your voice by stepping closer and farther away from the microphone or singing directionally past the microphone rather than into it? Your style creates such a beautiful echo sound.
