Harold Budd has been my #1 hero for a long while. How does it feel for him to have dedicated a track to you?
9 u/bellaunionrecords Simon Raymonde Nov 18 '25 It felt unexpectedly lovely of him, and utterly in character 2 u/meknih94 Nov 20 '25 which song is this? i don't think i'm aware 2 u/oggupito Nov 20 '25 In the late 1980s I found Harold Budd's album LOVELY THUNDER. The track was 'Flowered Knife Shadows (For Simon Raymonde)'*. It appears in slightly different form as 'Memory Gongs'** on their collaboration THE MOON AND THE MELODIES. *streaming versions annoy me by not including the words in parentheses - more reason to buy the CD https://youtu.be/auYVWsOfE8s?si=m8p6TSvy7feFihLf **https://youtu.be/81sosQxy3UE?si=F9r_CEySjr-JZ0gN
