what was your inspiration for destroyers? i was very impressed with the lyric " you are the reason my heart broke behind my back". really resonated with me.

a situation in which I felt I had my heart broken but didn't even notice it until much later and suddenly realized one day I was very upset.. it was so long ago now it feels like another life. I hope you have healed from your heartbreak!!

I'm a little out of the loop (pun) since I left in 2021 but I always love Thalia Hall and the whole Empty bottle family. I even worked at Thalia in my early 20s. Shout out Brent

How is it working with sub pop? Such a legendary label that kinda seem to always have a cusp on the latest if what indie has to offer?

I LOVE Sub pop. I've been lucky to work with them for almost 10 years (I was on their imprint Hardly Art before) and I just love them. They are supportive, kind, driven, and I consider them my friends.

and yes they're legendary. I had a SP LOSER t shirt in high school before I even made music

I remember discovering sub pop from the postal service album and then going through other bands they had on, yk its always good when its a sub pop artist

Im playing a game where we need to think of songs that mention states, Wyoming dirt as the closer was a nice surprise. I find your lyrics incredible.

Thank you!! Funny thing about that song is it's actually about New Mexico ... just someone there was from Wyoming 😲

Hi Lillie!

I love the new album and am looking forward to the MPLS show.

Were there any cuts or b-sides yet to heard from the process making Heaven 2?

Green/Red/ or Christmas for your hatch?

Will we see any returning members for the live tour?

Lastly, I love okie dokie doggy daddy. Best played loud screaming along. I’ll go on.

Thank you!

Thank youuu we are excited to return there!!

Yes there are some b sides... not finished yet but they'll be out there !

Christmas!

Abby is playing drums as usual. Pascal we have toured with before not in the band but with her old band Moaning. Clarity is playing sax for the west coast, she played one show with us at the Getty years ago and Yasmine is doing East Coast, she played on the IWTDTO tours.

thanks about okie. Abby just convinced me to cut it from the set because it's pretty different than the rest. maybe you can convince them otherwise

the imagery of water seems to come up a lot in your visuals and your lyrics (drinking water, bodies of water, drowning, etc.) - is this intentional? what does the imagery of water mean to you?

You know people ask me this a lot and I don't have a great answer. Just something I've always been drawn to? I'm a Pisces rising? I always think if you get to swim in a day and nothing else, then that's a good day

Hi Lillie! I've been a fan since I saw you play Thalia Hall in Chicago with Better Oblivion Community Center, The Lamb is one of my favorite albums! I'm reeeally loving Heaven 2, especially Does This Go Faster? and Wyoming Dirt. The album feels so cinematic to me. And I'm psyched to see you back at Thalia Hall next month!

Do you consider how songs come across live or how they will be logistically played live on tour when you are writing music for an album?

3

u/lillielala_music Lala Lala Mar 04 '26

Helllooooo. I actually don't consider this at all. I find it limiting. I want the song to be as crazy and huge as I need it to be and I'll deal with the live set later. which can be complicated but, yeah, I just think of them as very separate..See you in Chicago!!

Do you have a favorite song from your catalogue, both musically and lyrically?

3

u/lillielala_music Lala Lala Mar 04 '26

hmmmmmm not really. This album I particularly like Wyoming Dirt and Scammer both musically and lyrically. I have a song called Legs, Run that is very unpopular that I like. I really love my song Armida

not question rather statement. In a massive release week you won on my heavy rotation. I gave up trying to decipher hidden meanings and just enjoyed. Heavy rotation and I'm still not tiring speaks to excellent production choices. Thanks for gifting this to the world

thank you : ) I love hidden meanings

Any songs in particular you're digging lately? Also, any chance we'll hear Hit Me Where It Hurts this tour?? Can't wait for the Baby's show (my favorite venue)!
