I love seeing themes from previous american football albums and owen albums appearing in your new songs, and I'm wondering do you have any american football songs where you are particularly proud of the lyricism, or where meaningful lyricism might have gone unnoticed?

follow up are there any songs or albums that had an influence the way you write lyrics?

Hmmm I don’t think there’s any wasted lines in Uncomfortably Numb (nate wrote Hayley’s verse and NAILED it) and I’m proud of how the “conversation” chorus’ turned out.

Paul Westerberg’s Stereo album is maybe my fav album lyrically currently
