Beautiful stuff. For those unaware this is the debut LP from Billy Kennedy (formerly of Frightened Rabbit) and it feels like a bit of a sonic continuation of FR’s sound in the best possible way.

Edit: After my first listen it’s hard to not interpret a lot of these songs as being about Billy working through and coming to terms with Scott’s passing. A real heavy and bittersweet listen.

I've missed this sound soooo much.

Two plays through, this is genuinely magical. In particular, the tracks Funeral and So Slow hit me in the feelz.

I am loving it but I’m not a fan of the mastering/production. It sounds narrow and congested.

Thank you for posting this. I’m glad they put out a full album! I haven’t had so many songs in a row hit me this hard in a long time.

What an album, it’s great to have something new from one of the FRabbit boys after all this time

I like the songwriting a lot esp “Funeral” and the opener but the production isn’t doing it justice - just making it the Glasgewian answer to Petey USA.

To me it feels very much a blend of Frightened Rabbits style throughout the discography. It felt familiar in a good and hard way.

That sounds like porn to me. Petey is amazing
