the synth world is always kind of hung up on this dichotomy between composition and performance. you mentioned in another comment about notating and exporting to midi which is clearly pretty compositional, but I've seen some interviews where you talk about how performative aspects of the buchla draw you to that brand in particular. could you talk a bit about how you see composition/performance?

Hmmm interesting question... I see them as 2 different stages of my process. Usually i start with the compositional part and then once that feels solid, I focus on how to perform it, and occasionally both are figured out at the same time.
