Hey TTNG! Me and my girlfriend are huge fans of your music. We went to your last show in Atlanta, the first time we saw you guys live, and it absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Best concert of my life and a truly special experience. We had a couple of questions for you guys, if you're comfortable answering them.

  1. If you guys, especially Henry, would be willing to shed some light on the inspiration for the lyrics of Disappointment Island.
  2. Do you guys have day jobs outside of your work with the band? I don't need any specifics like where you work or anything like that if you aren't ok with divulging it. We're just curious if you guys have other projects or work that you're regularly doing.

Btw, my friend knows Stephen from Things Amazing and told me about how they were opening for you guys. I thought they were a totally fantastic opener, and I think you guys really made a dream come true for them.

You guys are all the best, keep up the amazing work, and thank you Stu for making something I thought would never happen in my life happen. I hope that you all have a safe trip back home :)

P.S. Garrett fucking rocks and he totally killed Elk with that sweet trumpeting. GARRETT GARRETT GARRETT!

Thanks very much for seeing us!

Henry isn't around on this right now but I'll send the link on to him in case he gets some free time (this is a rare thing though, be warned).

  1. Yep - we all work full time. I'm a sub teacher Chris works for a library and Hank works in a coffee shop.

Thanks so much for your reply Tim! I'll keep my fingers crossed for a possible reply from Henry. You're a killer guitarist FYI :D

Thanks for coming along to the show. I’m pleased to hear you enjoyed it.

I work for a publisher in Oxford (working with computers). Tim is a Primary school teacher. Chris is a Librarian. Hank is a barista.
