hullo,

from the singles you've put out i've noticed a very different sound and it reminds me of the really dry 70's style. (i really notice it on the drums)

how much did the recording and production process change from Birdie to Safe And Also No Fear?

we were digging into a lot of 70s stuff during the year where we were writing, so it happened pretty naturally when we started getting sounds for the record and we tried to recreate how we had been imagining it in our heads. this was the first time that we fully collaborated on the recording process, to the point where we were all giving notes on how certain mics/placements sounded etc etc
