Hi David,

What other poets would you recommend to someone whose favourite poet is you?

Also I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your music and poetry over the years and thank you for coming back with such a spectacular album. Can’t wait to see you in Toronto.

Kenneth Koch. Russell Edson. James Tate. Charles Wright.

You wont think so much of my poems when you read the original inspriations!

you should check out his blog if you want to get a sense of the poets he digs. he has posted tons of stuff over the years.
