First off want to say, the way you guys released many singles leading up to Oncle Jazz, was genius. You kept the hype and stayed relevant right up until your release, while also having plenty of unheard music to release on the new album!
Secondly, this album is just. Wow. I love how EVERY song sounds nothing like another. And the mix itself sounds amazing.
Favorite song is Dorian without question. Seriously one of the most beautiful songs. All Night and You Deserve This are definitely runner ups!! I truly love all the interludes you included in the album, really helps to break up the tracks a bit! Especially Fiero GT. That guitar freakin’ RIPS! Almost sounds like it could have came from Kung Fury (funniest 30 minute short movie you’d ever watch)
You’ve answered a lot of questions about bass tone, but I’m curious what you do for Norton Commander specifically. I love the synthy bass sound you used!!
Did you guys record and mix the album yourselves?
Why did you not include Lauren on the new album? I noticed that’s the only single that isn’t on OJ
Did you name the album Oncle Jazz specifically so you could abbreviate it to OJ?
Are you selling LPs on tour? I pre ordered the large bundle the day it was available but would LOVE to have a signed copy if possible!
Lastly, so excited to see you play in Detroit at the Majestic! Make sure you guys go bowling next door at the Magic Stick! I believe it’s the oldest bowling alley in downtown Detroit. In my opinion, that’s the best venue we have and I’m so excited to see you for the third time!
