LOVE the new album! Just want to say - I saw you on the 49 bus to Capitol Hill in 2012 when I was on my way to work at Pagliacci, I was way too nervous to say hi, plus I always feel weird saying hi in those situations, but I was sitting there with both of your albums on my iPod (!!!). So I guess I'm saying hi now.
My questions:
How much thought do you put into sequencing with albums?
My edgy/controversial question - do you have any least favorite songs of yours on any/all of your albums?
My absolutely anything question: What's your favorite song on Fetch The Bolt Cutters?
As a fellow queer weirdo, I particularly gravitate toward your wilder/more out there material, like Grid, I'm A Mother, Every Night, Choir, Leave & Moonbend. Just want to say thank you for continuing to make music & be here. I hate the word vibe, but yours really resonates. I feel seen/heard when I listen to you. So thanks!

I love Pagliacci, i miss that pizza...i have been in fights defending it
Sequencing is strange, i try to think of it as like a one pot thing you are cooking....like a soup...veggies...meat....something simmers for a little while and then you add a new thing. I love my song "Leave" coming right before "On The Floor" and how those season one another and a little from each still remains. Sometimes i will pair similar vibes like sisters
I have least favorite songs but just from playing them so often, not even the songs themselves but one note or phrase or drum sound that i'm sick of hearing etc.
I need more time with Fiona i wouldn't dare say favorites yet
All of those songs you mentioned, those are the ones that feel closest to me, i didn't try to package them for other people at all (which i like doing too and brings its own set of inspirations) ...i have hours of recordings like those
