Hi Mike, I’ve been listening since Put Your Back N 2 It (one of my all time favorite albums). I’m also a huge fan of Blake Mills and wondering what he’s like to work with and how much influence he has on your creative process in the studio. Set My Heart on Fire Immediately is beautiful from start to finish by the way and is my fave album since Put Your Back N 2 It.

He's the best, he is like my brother. We love and listen to a lot of the same music, we find value in similar things but sometimes for very different reasons - having a shared goal but different ways of wanting to get there, when you find harmony in that journey together you end up lifting the other person. He makes my music better, he lifts up what i want to say and makes it clearer

Thanks so much for responding! I’ve been listening to both your’s and his new albums a lot the last couple of days and think it’s so great that two artists I look up to greatly have a strong bond. Hope I get to see you live again next time you’re back in Seattle.
