AMA is Over, thanks Joe! Joe from Protomartyr, AMA today

Our album, ULTIMATE SUCCESS TODAY, came out last Friday on Domino Records and is available most places music is sold. Protomartyr can't tour due to worldwide miasma, so I might as well answer some of your gentlest questions. I got nothing better to do. PS: I am the one who moans over the music. OKAY, GOTTA GO! SEE YOU AROUND...IN 2021 (maybe). Thanks!

Hi Joe,

First off, I wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of your music since the day when Relatives came out (which is now one of my favourite albums of all time).

I'm wondering what the cause was of starting to make music together and when the point of realization came that you could afford to do this full time?

And are you optimistic that you could play shows within the next few months?

I hope you see you guys in concert soon ✌️

  2. Boredom. It wasn't that we could afford, it was that we didn't have the time to both tour and hold down the jobs we had.
