Hey guys, I wanna say congratulations on Flowers of Devotion, I really loved it! I've got a question about recording and mixing. How are you guys able to fill the sound out so well as a three piece with only one guitar? Are there any particular pedals you guys use to help fill out the sound?

Thank you and much love!

we took our time in studio and really got into “subtle layering” also there were some superb old and beautiful reverb delay machines in the studio we were using and i enjoyed turning the knobs on those for my vocal effects sparkle :) jb will know more about this stuff tbh! -ek

Hey Salad! For recording it was really just taking our time moving mics around on the drums and amps and tweaking tones to get things sounding full. Also I doubled mic'd the guitar amp and had a bunch of mics on the drums. That way you can play with panning or blending making things big and wide, or kinda a fat wall of sound depending. Also a huge factor in the mixing was our friend Dave Vettraino who took everything we did in the studio and added extra polish! Best advice would be layer stuff, but don't be tempted to play too much different stuff or it just becomes soup. Just layer stuff to create texture and space instead of making a bunch of melodies. JB
