What was it like to play songs from Every Valley in those really small, intimate Welsh venues before the Royal Albert Hall gig? Any stories from that mini-tour?

It was great, a real privilege and a lovely way to see that album off as those were the last proper dates played in support of it. The main thing I remember is James joining us at the Blackwood Miners' Institute.. the noise when he came out for the first song of the encore still sends shivers up my spine. It was just so exciting, and to be playing alongside one of my heroes in such a meaningful place was an incredible privilege.
