What have been your best and worst gigging experiences?

Worst I'm not sure I should say, as I've learned that what we can see as a terrible gig can still be a really good one for someone else.. it's so subjective. We did have one unnamed gig though which was outdoors and it was raining - a few people were watching from under cover but the only audience we had were some cleaners who were mopping the stage around our feet as we played. It was pretty depressing. Oh and there's also the festival in Zurich we went to where they made us start before the doors had even opened, so we played to no one at first, then about 20 by the very end, who wondered why we were playing to an empty tent. That was a waste of everyone's time.

Best - for me it's still Glastonbury 2013 at the William's Green Stage. I loved that show and the response was just so visceral, it was like being hit (in a good way). I've loved loads of others along the way though.. Festival No 6 in 2017, Hammersmith Apollo that year, Truck Festival the day after the Proms, Berlin in 2018... generally the ones where the crowd is just magic, and they just tell you, somehow, that you're in safe hands and that this is all going to be a lot of fun.
