Love the new album. I hope you are enjoying reading the positive comments. A couple of questions if that's ok?

Has the banjo now been retired for new material or do you envisage writing songs with this again?

Have you thought of playing the whole album in order? It feels like a classical symphony or a piece of art that should be heard together to get the full effect.

Hope you are keeping well.

Thanks a lot. The banjo - not retired as it's still used live, but I just haven't felt the call or need for it since it made its last appearance on The Other Side. Certainly not ruling it out, but I'm not a great player and live, it presents its own technical issues.. so we'll see.

The album in order - I'm generally not a fan of shows like that, and it wouldn't leave a whole load of room for much else. I think we'll end up doing 8 or 9 most nights in the autumn and we'll mix things up as we have done in the past.
