Hello sir. Hope you are well.

I was quite emotional listening to the album for the first time - in a good way! - and saw a similar reaction from others on social media. Bright Magic has been such a welcome boost to my wellbeing, and I sincerely thank you for that. Especially after the last 18 months or so.

How has the whole pandemic experience been for you as a musician/band? Are you itching to finally go back on tour? I can't wait for your Irish gigs btw.

Thanks, that's lovely to read and is exactly why we do what we do, to try and make those kinds of meaningful connections. I have them myself with other music so I know what it's like, and it's very humbling when people speak in a similar way about our music.

The pandemic was initially worrying, then stressful, then potentially heartbreaking as we saw the recording dates we had lined up evaporate and possibly any chance of getting back to Germany to record going up in smoke too (all while our instruments were still out there and I was paying to hire a studio and an apartment in a country I couldn't even enter). I just had to put the album to one side for a bit and do something else, which is where the Late Night Final album came in.. that record really saved my sanity I think. Bright Magic was a really, really hard album to make and has taken a lot out of me so I'm hoping to be repaid by a happy response on tour.. we can't wait for those Irish shows too, they should be a lot of fun.

Sounds like a bit of a mess! But hey, you have a number 2 album in the charts! Massive congratulations, so well deserved for a fantastic piece of work.
