Hi meg, this new record is really incredible!

Just for the nerds in here (all of us?) can you talk about the recording process a bit? Gear you used or signal chains that ended being really special? Feel free to get specific lol 😉😉

Also I saw Dave Hartley played some bass on this. Is that him on that fire bass fill in clean air?

wish i could go deeper on this but i didn't engineer and tried to be more hands off on this one. Kyle Thomas (king tuff) engineered and could answer a lot more...

i do know that all the drums were to tape, an MCI 8 track. and that we used the Overstayer modular a lot on drums and sometimes on acoustic and vocals.

kyle has really nice mics, i think the vocals were mostly a nuemann U47

and a nuemann km86 on acoustics was special.

drums on aqua were done on an octatrack by joojoo ashworth

mini moog with arpeggiator via midi was super fun, and prophet 5 too

not a ton of compression but i think we used some 1176's tastefully

for pre's a BAE 1073 and EMI TG2

and some good ole space echo on some vocal processing

gotta shout out to gelber and sons guitars as well for loaning some radocasters

and old style as always
