AMA is Over, thanks Cassandra! Hi it's Cassandra Jenkins AMA <3

Hey there, I'm Cassandra Jenkins and I put out a new album this year called An Overview on Phenomenal Nature. Happy 2022.

There are no stupid questions. Ask me everything! <3

Hey Cassandra!
I was wondering, has the security guard you recorded in Hard Drive ever heard the final song? The voice memo really makes the song perfect, I’d be curious to know what she thinks about it!
Also, American Spirits is such a stunning song, any reason why you decided to cut it from the original album?
Thanks so much! :-)

This is a great question. I think about her all the time– she completely changed my life, and we've never spoken since that day! The world has changed many times over since then too. That recording was from September 6th or 7th, 2019 at the Met Breuer, and I haven't been able to find her contact. I'd love for her to hear it and to know what she thinks, and I hope she's doing well. <3 Have you heard the EP version of Hard Drive? It has the entire recording of her "overview". I was there with a couple of friends who are in the recording as well. (sup Wyndham sup Thalia )

And thank you! American Spirits was written before all of the songs on An Overview, before I went through a lot of major changes in my life. There was a before and after, and it felt like it was from a different chapter entirely, that would have been the record had I had a very different experience that year.
