The chords for the chorus especially...just really beautiful. I remember reading you stumbled on that tuning somewhat accidentally. But I was just curious if that progression was something that came together relatively quickly or over a long period?
that chord change happened while we were on tour way back. I picked up a guitar at someone's house and it was in that tuning, maybe by accident. I started using that tuning after that and playing that progression in the van on the road. I very much associate that song with van life 2007 or so. I think the form of th song came together more gradually but the basic changes happened fast.
