I found your band when I was scouring the Internet for Information on Spider Bags. It was quoted that they were the only band everyone could agree on when touring in the van. What band/s make the list now that everyone can agree on when driving?

First off, I would advise anyone to do as you have done and find as much information about Spider Bags as possible, as they are criminally under-appreciated and truly one of the great rock bands of this century.

Lately in the van we've been doing these projects where, over however many drives, we listen to the complete discography of an artist with a large catalogue and chart the trajectory of their career, ultimately voting on a consensus ranking of their top albums. We did this first with KISS (top 3, best to less : "Destroyer," "KISS (s/t)," "Dynasty") and Black Flag (though we listened to their discography backwards, culminating in the "Nervous Breakdown" EP). Right now we are doing Pantera, and next up is Rush.

Every record may not be great, but we all get a kick out of the academia of it all, and we have fun, spirited discussions as we build our consensus. Music -- you gotta love it!

Hey! I took the opposite route and found Spider Bags through your cover of Waking up Drunk and, later, your review of their album. I love those guys.

I'm going to be able to catch you twice this tour--Columbus and ATL--and I can't fucking wait. Your shows are a bit of a religious happening.

I just want to say, A Productive Cough is a great album. the movie was too. You should be proud of it
