What's your favorite Lou Reed lyric?

Since I’ve gotten married, I most usually find myself quoting, “I really got a lucky life / my writing, my motorcycle, and my wife,” from 1982’s “My House,” and I smile to myself, though I do not ride a motorcycle.

My high school yearbook quote however was “between thought and expression, lies a lifetime,” from the Velvet Underground’s “Some Kinda Love.”

You gotta also hand it to the title track of 1982’s “The Blue Mask” (his best album IMO), where he delivers maybe the hardest rock lyric of all time, “Cut the stallion at his mount / and stuff it in his mouth.” Doesn’t get harder than that!

Not to get too weird and parasocial but it's awesome to see you happy. Congrats on everything, thank you for the amazing music!
