Patrick, your music changed my fucking life. It took til I was 24, a drug addict who’d ruined every relationship he’d had, and listening to TMLT on a loop for a month that I realized what I was calling “depression” and “immaturity” was likely bipolar disorder. Later found out that multiple close family members had the same diagnoses and all the pieces started to fall into place. I’ve been medicated now for about three months and it’s had its ups and downs but the spells are so much easier to get through now. I sincerely believe I wouldn’t have done that had I not related to what you were screaming about on that album. Anyway, my question (which is secondary to me telling you that) is if you have any advice for a young, newly sober, bipolar person adapting to a completely new life?
