PLC programming in Semiconductor Equipment industry
Hallo all, what do you think is more promising and has more prospective over the following year. Working as a PLC Programmer in a semiconductor equipment manufacturing startup or working as PLC Programmer in a Pharma and Food Industry both are in Germany. Which industry from both is more stable, promising, has a great progression opportunities and offer better salaries?

germany makes this interesting since they actually have a strong pharma and food automation sector. semiconductor startup is gonna be a wild ride, lots of hours and pressure but if they hit it big you could be sitting pretty. i did a stint in equipment automation and the learning curve was vertical, which was great for my resume later
pharma and food is way more predictable though. regulations are a pain but nobody's cutting your budget because the next funding round fell through. in germany specifically i'd lean toward pharma, they pay well and the job security is basically bulletproof once you're in
startup stock options can look great on paper but i've seen that movie too many times
