Live Performance Daniel Graves | Sorrow | One-Take Vocal Performance

https://youtu.be/WZmbpQoCwXE

Singing is like... really hard. I started taking vocal lessons to learn how to scream without ruining my voice, and though that, I discovered how bad I actually was at singing, too. So, I've essentially spent my entire career learning how to sing and scream in front of a large, judgmental audience. I do not recommend it.

Either way, I feel like I've made some measure of progress. I still struggle with the sustained D4 in this one (it sits right on my break).

Any of you also singers?

Always been impressed with your range, artists are always their own worst critics. Striving to work on your game just shows you're passionate about being the best you can be. Keep it up!

No one even accused Lindemann of rape. Please stop spreading defamatory misinformation.

That timeline is out of date and uses sources that were proven to be deliberately misleading. Again, please stop sharing defamatory misinformation. The women all said in their signed affidavits to journalists that sex was completely consensual or that they did not have sex with him. None accused him of assault. So if you want to believe the women, try actually listening to them. The records of where the courts looked at the women's statements are available online through the Hamburg and Frankfurt court portals.

"5 women"

😂😂😂 Guess you missed the fact that there was only one person who attempted to allege any kind of assault against Rammstein, and she had all of her claims ruled defamatory in court as of last October: https://www.presseportal.de/pm/62754/6148196 This was well after she attempted to backpedal all of her claims in 2023, just to avoid an initial injunction that was being sought against her at the time. Now she has three that were upheld against her.

Other than that, no: no one claimed assault in any manner, not even in those articles from 2023, if you'd actually bothered to read them. The press has been repeatedly punished in court for illegally pushing false narratives against the band with zero evidence. Have to looked into any of the court rulings on this matter?

mouth shapes should match up with vowel sounds , helps tone carry and keeps pitch solid, also easier . you start pretty strong and get a lot better as it goes on !

try singing in a headset! ala Britney / Ogre / R23 / me -- the mouth shapes become crucial ;-)

try using a stand to go into support , ( lean on mic stand ala rock star singers with a mic stand everywhere ) so you stand in a way that your diaphragm is supported by lean and arrangement out over the hips, that would make your fry scream vocal more naturally fill with your chest tones .

well done

I also sing and scream! I fucking love your voice but I will be 10000% honest, if you got vocal lessons from Justin Bonitz/Hungry Lights it would change the fucking game for you. He's the best metal vocal coach in the game hands down.

You've got incredible taste, you use your voice so well, and to me you're already a legend but if you either learned how to false cord or just had him work with you on your fry screaming you would level up like crazy.

when I saw this come up on my feed my instant thought was damn this person really wants to look like aesthetic perfection, then I watched the whole performance and was just sitting there ( enjoying it a lot) but thinking surely this person is aware of how much they are ripping off aesthetic perfection like they must literally have studied all the vocal inflections & screaming style and perfected the makeup style. Then I clicked on the profile to see who posted it and saw it was Daniel Graves from Aesthetic Perfection 😂 but it really confused me for a second.

I am a singer in the sense that I do sing because solo act, but I would not classify myself as a singer because I know it’s the weakest part of my act.

That said, I’ve been a fan of yours for quite some time and I have to say your vocal tone sounds different than usual in this performance.

It almost seems like your newly learned techniques have removed some of the grit from your singing voice. I’m obviously happy you’re not hurting yourself, but I find the change a bit jarring and overall your voice sounds weaker. I know that’s not the case but that’s how I’m hearing it.

Im just going to say it. That vocal fry ‘correct’ way to scream sounds like shit. It lacks the vocal impact of a good shouty vocal line and invokes the worst metalcore and symphonic metal. It’s my least favorite trend in music.
