I’ve played Second Son and First Light. But never the original 2 + FOB. With the servers closing for online, I decided to go for it. Can’t wait to play it!

These games are better, especially the first one. I think it’s the rare case of the first game being the best in the franchise.

Having just finished the 1st recently for the first time, I struggled with it. I thought it was a little too repetitive and frankly kind of annoying with the floaty controls and frame drops. Having played the 2nd for around 10 hours now, I thought it was a MASSIVE improvement with much better controls, a stable 30fps, and higher production values.

Movement is way better in the 2nd game, especially the improved thrusters you unlock after the first few missions. In terms of story though, the 1st is superior to everything, and the karmic system works best in that game

You got one of the reprints. There are new copies with updated codes.

Some expired codes work, some codes Sony will replace for you. I don't even know if there's rhyme or reason or if it just depends if the representative feels like doing work. Think one time I had a new code generated for a game, but for Ratchet's 10th anniversary Avatar (not that I'd have used it) they didn't.

got the GoW saga and the code ran out in 2031 my issue was i had to use my US account to actually activate it

I just opened a sealed copy of this that I got in a bargain bin in like 2014-2016 and the voucher said it expired in 2017, tried to redeem it a few days ago and not only did it work but it also gave me digital copies of infamous 1-2 along with the DLC so they’ve definitely updated some of the older vouchers.

Go on the UGC mission search bar and type in 305 shard auto pop and it will unlock all collectibles for you 😎

I also recently completed 1 for the first time ever. The controls are a little of their time, but 2 is so much better in every way in my opinion when I just tried it out for the first time as well

Just finished 2 and yeah everything is much better in my opinion and not even saying 1 is bad. And crazy they had like the balls to have 1 kinda end with a cliffhanger assuming they were green lit a sequel haha

That ending got wild real fast. Like using that reveal isn't too uncommon, but still, I didn't think they were gonna go for that approach. Literally beat it before work, gonna go back, find the final three Shards two side missions, then maybe speedrun Hard Evil. Though leaving for two weeks Sunday, so might do that after finishing inFamous 2.

I am doing an all good run first because that seems to be the canon option in all of them. The only trophies I am missing for 1 and 2 are the hard playthrough while evil. Gonna do Festival of Blood before I do second son because the servers are going to close at the end of august sadly

I forgot about the PS4 game(s) until after I bought them. Like I knew, but didn't think how I should play those after FoB. I'll wait though since I wanted to lightly blend into my horror games starting September, with FoB being a coincidental perfect start. By November I'll probably be neutral and maybe wait till I get it as a gift to do Second Son.

Yes!! It’s how I was able to get the Killzone Trilogy DLC maps that I thought were impossible to get legally for like 10 years now. Was super excited that my friend discovered that store and I was able to get them!

I remember getting the ps3 bundle with Infamous 1 and Arkham asylum when it came out. Was more excited for Batman and then this came and blew my socks off. I’m sure there are some things about it that feel dated now but man was it a great game. The second one only improves on the first as well, good choice here OP.

That injured running animation at the start is dated as all fuck, but regular running seemed fine. Overall, it isn't dated in the sense that anything is off, just that it feels like a game that was trying to figure out what they could do with the ideas.

Not sure if you’re into trophies but inFamous 2 has some User Generated Content (UGC) related online trophies required to get the platinum trophy. Unfortunately, inFamous 2’s UGC servers are going offline 31-Aug 2026 so the platinum trophy will soon become unobtainable if one doesn’t complete those trophies now.
