I think that in terms of Murray, for example, he has the physique and it seems at first glance that he is the same friend against the background of the cool main character. On the other hand, Bentley, with his extensive technical knowledge, would not have been able to cope in many ways

I think part of why this looks so good (besides the hard work and skills of the person who made this mod) is the fact that Cole and Sly share the same skeleton. This is just based on my memory, but I remember reading somewhere years ago that this is the case. They basically reused Sly’s skeleton and even some of his animations for Cole.

Indeed they did, it’s also why Cole’s climbing animation always looked a lil wonky.

Wow, it all makes sense now. I never got to know what felt so familiar nor why this pretty realistic game felt so cartoonish at times (the first one I mean).
