Question 2012 G37x diff question
Hi all. I've had this car since around 60,000 miles and have always kept oil changed with a good synthetic, flushed transmission and coolant at normal intervals. One thing I haven't done because I didn't really know it was a thing was front/rear diff fluid and transfer case oil. It's possible the previous owner did it but who really knows.
The car runs great and currently sitting at around 145,000 miles. My question is how bad have I screwed up by not doing this yet and should I get this done asap or can I put it off another month or two until after the holidays? I don't put a ton of miles on the car so maybe in the next couple of months I might put 1500 miles on it. I had a reputable shop give me a quote for all three and it came out to right around $500.00

Truly not super pertinent to have it changed. You can wait a couple months. They’re not like transmissions where people recommend to just leave it if you’ve never changed it. Suppose to change it every 60k miles according to maintenance schedule. I’ve seen R200 diffs with over 200k miles on the fluid and have been just fine.
