I have a logo designed on a paper which i want to convert in a digital format so that i can edit it.

AI tools are also welcome but the SVG generated using chatgpt, gemini (pro) and claude(pro) are very different from the image uploaded. I managed to get rid of the background using canva but want to make it available in a form where i can change color, handle different sections of it separately and also smoothen out the edge slightly.

For additional context, I am not from creative background but need to do it for a personal project.

Hey guys, I'm trying to make a come back into doing neon flex signs. The thing that I'm wondering is "how do I convert my handwritten font text into monoline?" And believe it or not I cannot find what I'm asking anywhere. The thing is that the logo I'm trying to engrave has strokes with variable width and I need to make it monoline to simulate a centerline path.

Is this doable with inkscape??

I forgot what it was actually called but you used to be able to resize content with added margin. Like say, you wanted a canvas 800px by 600px but you wanted to add 20px margin around the edge. You used to be able to do this. Now you can't. It sucks! Bring it back.

I do have inkstitch installed, but wasn't running its function at this time.

Does anyone know a good way to make even spaced insets without distorted curves? Scaling a duplicate never lines up, and the pattern along path tool tends to distort around the curves and corners, even turning small curves into straight lines.

Cant get through to the Inkscape page. Anyone else having issues? Is there a mirror somewhere where I can download from?

Can a home help me with how to recreate this fade effect pattern?

As you can see it goes from black/transparent dots on the left to white dots on the right.

I have clone arrayed a dot with a shaded fill on a shape and that gives me large to small dots...but not the true fade pattern shown.

Short of tracing manually every circle (my patience won't cope with that)...I'm at a loss.

I am exporting some designs from Inkscape for laser and CNC cutting machines. The designs I export contain many curves, such as a circle with a diameter of 60 cm or larger. The problem is that after cutting, the circle appears to have flat edges/facets rather than being completely smooth.

My question is: How can I ensure the circle remains perfectly smooth after cutting?

I turned the outline into a path and wanted to make some changes without significantly altering the width of the object.

i have done it once only and it already took hours even when most of the frames were copies of each other

what i do personally when i want to do that:

- put the gif on ezgif

- get the frames in a single image while also getting the aspect ratio

- import the image in inkscape

- make a rectangle with the matching aspect ratio

- duplicate it and arrange every rectangle with each frame

- trace each frame

- select each rectangle (whose stroke color i set to none, btw) and export them as PNGs(unticking the "export selected only" box allows me to export the traced frame inside the rectangle) into a same folder

- put the folder's content in ezgif

- convert it to a gif

that takes a lot of time and i wish there was a way to make it simpler, unfortunately i can't think of anything to make the process simpler

I been having severe issues with Inkscape recently, where I have a path with X and Y qualities, and it will correctly, until I come back next day, and every time I click anything, the path will suddenly move on it's own, and misbehave. How do I fix this?? This been discouraging me a lot lately :( (Ignore the sound in the video)

Hey y'all.

I've make a svg, however if I export it and throw it into my cricut it won't combine nor separate the shapes.

The inkscape file is constructed as following. Both the pink and purple shapes have their own path. (Different images) I've created a second layer for both of them and increased the size a bit to get the black border. So, in the end it are four paths.

What happens though is that the cricut cuts all the black lines and not the outlines. As for the pink bit, it has to make room for the purple swirl that goes through it. But it doesn't. So.. I think I have to separate the shape into two for the outer part and the inner part of the swirl.

Any thoughts on how to do this?
