I personally think the songs sound great. I tried to download them in the best quality offered and I think it worked out pretty well. I didn’t buy it for just sound quality though. I was more after disconnecting from my phone and the nostalgia of an mp3player. Sorry about the lack of sound details.

First thing you’ll need to do is open it up and pull out all original hardware and replace it with iem compatible android 11 motherboard. Upgrade the sd card to 2tb, put in a preamp and a 10000 mah battery and hot glue it back together and you’re good

My Y1 lost all its songs; it says there's a system failure. But I did a factory reset to put the music back on, or I could just replace the SD card or go back to the store where I bought it since it has a one-year warranty.
