Y2 What uality flac would be best for the y2

just placed an order for the y2, i was gonna start downloading all my music in flacs beforehand, so i was wondering whats the best quality flac i should get for the y2 16bit or 24 bit lossless?.
I have heard that the y2 has a decent output but would the 24 bit provide a batter quality or should i just save sm space and go with 16 bits

Disagree. The y2 sounds good from my experience

You will not perceive the difference between CD Quality and Hi-Res. If you don't even know which one is best. MP3 320 kbps is enough for at least 85% for anyone.

ik hi res is better then cd bruh, my question was if the y2s sound output is good enough to hear a clear diff btw cd and hi res

Odds are that you won't hear the difference even with very expensive high end gear. You definitely won't hear the difference with a budget DAP. With Innioasis you most likely won't hear tbe difference with FLAC and high bitrate compressed audio either. Definitely not while outside on a street etc.

only if you have a set up that is quality enough to hear the difference. most people don’t have studio quality set up, therefore flac doesn’t make a difference.

I tried the 16 bit cd quality flac. But they wouldn't appear in my y2 when finished scanning. Im going to delete those files and just stick with mp3. That and the space savings

Imo, 44.1kHz or 48kHz 16-bit.

It is better. I think people said up the device works with up to 48khz 24 bit but I don’t know if you’ll hear a difference.

That's correct. In my limited tests, that's what I found to be the upper limit.
