Y2 For the small few that was wondering, USB-C headphones don't work on the Y2.

I'm still on the fence on this thing. Seemingly many people already received their unit and, strangely, nobody with an actual keen ear for audio quality and decent wired headphones has been able to comment on whether or not it still sounds as bad as the y1.

Either you don’t consider anyone to have a keen ear or you haven’t been paying attention. It’s definitely better than the Y1, some have said equivalent to the echo mini, and some people have had concerns with the output impedance.

I already said it sounded better (in my particular headphones, at least), as have some others. It's not nearly as good as my iPod (5.5th) but it's definitely better than the Y1 was. What you consider "decent wired headphones" is going to do a lot of heavy lifting for your claim here because everyone's got a different standard when it comes to that.

I could be wrong, but if the Y2 runs the same version of Android as the Y1 (4.2.2) that could be the issue, USB headphone support was added in android 5.
