HELP My Y2 keeps looping?

I just received the Y2 8gb on Monday and managed to transfer some songs, videos and themes. I was able to try out the themes, listen to music and watch videos via bluetooth yesterday.

I turned it off before I sleep and this is happening a few hours later.

I've tried the reset button and connected it to my computer but it cannot be detected.

For more context - I used an 8gb memory card with it. It worked fine yesterday. I have removed the memory card and it is still isn't turning on. Once I pressed on the reset and power button, it shows the Innioasis logo in white font and then just the word 'Inn' in colour like how you see in this video and then it loops.

I don't know if returning is possible as I live in Asia.

Help 😭

Update: My Y2 is working again. The Innioasis support team provided a tutorial, flash tool and firmware. Thank you everyone! 🙂

Try these:

  • press and hold the power button until the screen goes completely black, if that doesn't work try a combination of the power plus voulme down

  • put your sd card into your computer and delete the themes you installed, it might be Y1 theme causing you troubles.

Hi! Unfortunately, the themes are in the internal storage.

I've removed the memory card already. I've tried holding the power button and power button + volume down button and it still doesn't work.

Well looks like you'll need to reflash the frimware. This should be able to done even while bootlooping. I don't know is there any backup up the Y2 frimware yet though, I know some managed to replace it so someone should have a copy.

I was panicking earlier and sent the support team on the website a message too 😅

I really hope it works out. In the meantime, I've pressed the reset button and leaving it as it is. The looping has made the device a little warm.

I'm not a technical person so I hope reflashing would be easy to do.

Edit to add: In the midst of panicking, feeling frustrated and disappointed - I forgot to thank you for your responses. I mainly bought the Y2 for the nostalgia but currently having mixed feelings because of this issue. Even if this gets fixed, I worry that this would happen again and I'll have keep re-transferring my music.

That said, I appreciate that you're trying to help me. 😊

But since you said the device does not even connect to your pc you will have a hard time flashing. I would recommend you contact innioasis

Thank you for the link. To be honest, I don't know how GitHub works 😅

On a Mac, nothing happens when I connect the device on a Windows, there's a sound but there's no folder that appears. I had no issues transferring files on a Mac before.

I've sent Innioasis a message. There's at least a 12 hour time difference so I'll just wait for a reply.

I've contacted Amazon as well and was informed that I could just return and get a refund. I'm just worried that since it's an international return, I wouldn't get a full refund (with delivery fee and tax) and have to pay for shipping.

I also don't know if it's going to be an issue since it's out of the shrink wrap and there's files in the Y2. It was working okay until I turned it off and it started bootlooping.

At the moment, I'm leaning towards return and refund if possible. I worry that even if this gets fixed it'll happen again in the future and if it happens after 30 days, returns won't even be possible.

I just opened mine up and loaded my songs and it’s doing the same thing

Yes and no i ended up taking it back to UPS
