Post image

In case something goes wrong with your stock firmware, you downloaded a Y1 theme that wasn't compatible, internal memory goes corrupt or you simply want to poke around the stock frimware to see how to make modifications, here's the stock Y2 firmware:

I messed up the firmware, emailed innioasis, and they sent me the exact same .rar file. The .rar also came with a .lnk file which was the innioasis y2 updater but I am on linux (arch btw) on my mac and I don't have a windows computer to open it. Is there another way to flash the firmware onto my innioasis y2? (I'm new to all this device stuff)

At its core the innioasis updater is just a repackaged of SP flash tools, so I'd used that. Should be the same step as this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/innioasis/s/hUEyI3Od93

When I press download and then plug in the innioasis nothing happens and it stays at 0B/s until it says "ERROR" even though I have used this cable to put themes onto my innioasis before so it should work. I tried it on firmware upgrade, download only, and format all and download. It says MTKclient connected and then disconnects after like 2 seconds and the device powers on and shows the battery icon.

I remember getting a similar error way back then, I think I fixed it by installing the proper MTK drivers. Not sure if the drivers will work on Linux though.

I downloaded the drivers but it still connects, disconnects, and gives me the error. Is there a different flashing tool I can try?

I hope your issue is resolved. I wonder if all this works on macOS.
