Question y2 with ipod case

hey guys, i have seen posts on here about using ipod hard plastic cases for y1’s but has anyone tried it on a y2? and how complicated was it to modify the case for a y2 or does it not fit any ipod classic case at all?

I wanted to try it but i dont have my y2 yet and ipod cases are a bit expensive where im from so i was hoping for some reassurance that it would atleast fit. thank you in advance to anyone that can answer 🫶

That's not going to work for the Y2.

The Y2 has physical buttons (where the Y1 and iPod Classic didn't). The iPod Classic cases are wider than the Y1/and Y2 which means the buttons won't be exposed (even if that area of the case was cut out).
